Named Giving Opportunities
Opportunities for donors to have their name associated with a student award, academic position, research or University building provides a meaningful way to demonstrate one’s strong personal commitment to creating a world-class educational institution. Named facilities and programs remind students, staff, faculty and visitors to our campus that Western's excellence in education, teaching and research initiatives are a direct result of the generosity and commitment of our donors.
Student Awards provide financial assistance to students and reward academic excellence. For as little as $7,500, donors can name a student award or endow an award in perpetuity for $25,000.
Academic Positions and Research allow Western to maintain its position as one of Canada’s leading research intensive universities. A generous donation of $25,000 could establish a lecture series while an endowed gift of $3 million will endow a Chair in perpetuity.
Buildings and other spaces on campus continue to ensure our students and faculty have exceptional state-of-the-art facilities. A room may be named for $25,000 and a full range of naming opportunities exists for donors.
